Swapping bonds for bondage, while nerds are the real 'toyboys'

We might all be tightening our belts to brace ourselves for the recession, but will the Irish follow in the footsteps of our UK colleagues who appear to be swapping bonds for bondage?
According to a survey recently carried out by sexpert Tracey Cox, recession-hit Brits are embracing bondage to beat the blues of falling finances.
UK couples are shrugging off the shackles of conventional love-making and spending more time in the bedroom with handcuffs, blindfolds and even tie-up bondage gear, according to the adult toy website, lovehoney.
Tracey, who designs products for the site, conducted the survey of 2,000 men and women, and found that 76pc of Britons have taken part in bondage play in the last six months. 58pc of couples use it as a special way to spice up their love lives, while 16pc use kinky accessories every time they make love.
A whopping 68pc have used restraints such as handcuffs and ties, while 18pc have used a blindfold to enhance their lovemaking.
More shockingly, 7pc have even used unspecified household objects in the bedroom!
And 75pc of people who had never tried tying up their partner said they were keen to give it a go.
While I certainly wouldn't suggest going to an S&M party for most couples, playing 'tie-up' privately is a definitely a great way to add zest to anyone's sex life, said Tracey, who is known for her no-holds barred TV shows on the subject.
When one of you is tied-up, youll tend to try new things in bed, straying away from your predictable love-making path - its this unpredictability that is the biggest turn on!
It may seem that tech workers just switch things off and on again, but their love of gadgetry has helped them top a poll as the most sexually adventurous professionals.
And the site has also found that, despite their nerdy image, techies are the most likely profession to avail of adult toys.
Eight out of ten regularly use sex toys, compared to just three in ten sports & fitness workers.
The survey also found that technology experts, or geeks, were the best in bed and gym enthusiasts were the most selfish, leading us to believe that Not Fair singer Lily Allen </topics/Lily+Allen> would do well to avoid the latter.
When it comes to frequency of sex, however, 47pc of sports workers claim to have sex three or more times per week, compared with 38pc of IT people - though we are inclined to believe that IT types would be more truthful in their answers than macho gym-addicts.
Look in our shops for your toys!!!.
