The Dutchess Goes Dominatrix: Fergie's Tough Ponytail

If anyone can find a way to spice up the boring old ponytail, it's Fergie. But if you're wondering how she pulled off this tough look without ripping out half her hair when it came time to peel off the black tape-well, we have a pretty good guess: Bondage tape.

As in, tape you buy at a sex shop that sticks to itself but not to skin and hair, so you can restrain someone without giving them a brutal wax job. We learned back in '07 that hairstylists love bondage tape for far less kinky uses when we saw Luigi Murenu twist it around the hair-Fergie-style-backstage at the Alberta Ferretti fall runway show.

It's fabulouly shiny and can look pretty basic (with just a few wraps around the tail) or totally badass (by winding it 10 or 12 times)-and if you don't feel like like going to, ahem, your local "adult novelty store", you're in luck. They sell it on amazon.
