August 15: The end of BDSM radio!

The sad news is that BDSM radio will stop! The inhuman demands of the Belgian SABAM and not having a minimum from 130 hours of listening per day making it almost impossible to BDSM Radio to continue without an annual cash injection of several thousand euros for paying royalties.



The message from Radionomy
Radionomy is the server that give BDSM Radio's unique formula. Until August 15 this service is free. However, by suddenly inhuman demands of SABAM. At August 15 ended. Read the mail Radionomy below:

We send you this e-mail to remind you that you're advanced and have one month to have time to build an audience that more than 130 hours per day to your radio listening BDSM Radio Holland. You rack than the Premium level. If you do not pass the Premium level in the coming month you can continue to use the Radionomy service, but pay your own copyright and related rights. That you must arrange with the appropriate organizations (Buma / Stemra and Sena in the Netherlands, and Sabam Simim in Belgium).

If more than 130 hours a day listening to your radio, you have the Premium Achieve level, and free and can continue to use the services of Radionomy. Radionomy pay's then also the copyrights and related rights.

Number of listeners
We are currently at half the required number of hours with a small 1350 listening sessions per week. Something were we in such a small audience of listeners are extremely satisfied about it. But unfortunately this is only half the absolute minimum for free broadcast without paying copyright for.

Moreover, there are also some setbacks in terms of period. We had the World Cup soccer and we are now in the middle of the holiday period.

No return point
Currently we are at a point when even we have 130 hours per day listening. We still don't have the minimum demand.

What miracle we need?
Only one mega sponsor for our concepts can save us. In times of recession are companies not in the mood for it.

Current sponsors: www.de-kooi-bdsm.nl, www.bdsm-discipline.nl. and www.kinkybabe.info. Cannot handle this financial.

Obviously if a miracle is happening when a Mega sponsor comes up to pay the authors and related rights. Can count on advertising 24 blocks a day 365 days a year. That is: 8760 advertisements per year!

The website
The website will continue in the hope for chances in the future. Perhaps there remains only a dutch voice BDSM info radio online. It would be a shame afther almost 10 years BDSM Radio on the Internet to lose it all.

Realistically
I don't believe that all this will happen and we stop te broadcasting at August 15. With the result that there is nothing to be heard on www.bdsmradio.eu beyond the dutch reports that are in the archive.

In any case, no more music can be heard. We do not expect a miracle!!
