BUXTON’S Australian Sex Party Senate candidate Larissa Zimmerman (pictured) says she still hopes to assist disengaged youth at Picton High School, after a disappointing election result.


In the electorate of Hume, where there are 97,698 enrolled voters, 1360 voted for the party.

The dominatrix and financial adviser, 38, spent Saturday in various Wollondilly towns before campaigning through Camden and other parts of south-western Sydney. She says she received a positive response from voters, but added people were still scared to approach her in public and talk policy because of the stigma around the Sex Party.

“I have worked previously with disengaged youth, and I would love to help advise Picton High School students on the best way to keep them engaged either in their career paths or in school,” she said. “In public, people are still scared to be associated with the Sex Party. I would like to thank everyone that voted for me.”

Ms Zimmerman says she was quite happy to ruffle a few political feathers in what is otherwise a conservative part of the country.
