I'm not ashamed -- but I won't tell my Catholic parents

IRELAND- Molly has been working as a dominatrix and prostitute for six years. After training and working as a teacher, the Cork-born mum-of-two decided to pursue a career in the sex trade.
She is now based in Australia and works with the government to help change perceptions of sex workers.
She says: "People have got to stop thinking all sex workers are druggies. A lot of the women I know are highly educated and do it as a means to an end and they're in control.
"I went into the industry with a very calculated, educated view, which, since speaking to other girls, I've found is quite common -- girls now are more empowered and intelligent than years ago.
"I come from a very standard normal education with very strict Catholic parents. I was working as a teacher, was bored and wanted to spice up my life. I met a dominatrix online and she talked me through the safety side and the legal issues with being a sex worker in Ireland.
"I was exhilarated the first time I met a client. When I moved to Australia I became a madam in a brothel and a dominatrix. Now I work two or three days a week and 33pc of my clients are close male and female friends.
"My clients come from all walks of life. I've had carpenters, doctors, lawyers and one judge who pays me top-dollar to look after his mistress. They lend me their cars, homes and make me dinner.
"I own a great big house and pool and my husband knows what I do. It's a job, I'm in control and I make good money -- up to AU$2,000 (1,400) a week.
"It's a very different set-up in Australia to Ireland. You can explore much more here. I pay tax and have health checks every three months and it's illegal for sex workers to have sex without a condom. As a result, Australian sex workers have the lowest rate of STIs in the world.
"I haven't told my family back home what I do. I love them too much and respect them enough not to worry them about it. I intend to work one more year, then I have career plans in a totally different industry that I hope to pursue.
"But I've no regrets and I certainly don't feel psychologically damaged by working as a prostitute. I'm a very sexual person and it's something I wanted to do before I died."
