How to tell a pro domme from a faux domme

USA- TAMPA-  Lots of guys who’re looking for professional domination want to be sure the domme they hand their money over to is “real.” They want a domme who’s into domination as a lifestyle and not just as a job. There’s another contingent of subguys that want a domme who’s out to use them financially, but that’s a subject for another day. This article is for those who want to learn to recognize a faker when they see one. So here’s a few red flags to watch out for when considering a pay-for-play domina:


1) What kind of pictures are on her websites & online profiles? If they look as good as professional porn you should assume they are.
Having a pornsite is not a bad thing. Smart women in this industry learn to build multiple income streams. But if her pics are mostly a collection of porn pictures lifted from others and not credited to their original source? Then you know she has no compunction about stealing other people’s work. And you should suspect any images she claims as hers are also stolen.

2) Does she make public appearances?
This whips & chains stuff is not rocket science. But there are things which can’t be learned from books. And the best way to acquire those skills is still by mixing with other kinksters. A domina who actually lives this lifestyle may not go to every single munch, meeting, & kinky class in town but she will attend the occasional scene event. If she never does these things, then at the very least you know she’s giving short shrift to her professional training.

3) What do other people have to say about and to her?
A lifestyle domina will meet people in the scene. She’ll meet people at munches and play parties, classes and conventions, she’ll even meet people hanging out in online forums. And you’ll be able to see evidence of those meetings: comments on her guestbook, people conversing with her online, people mentioning her in their own posts… If you’ve come across Mistress High-and-Mighty, who claims to be the premiere pro domme of Anytown USA, and nobody in Anytown seems to know she exists-that tells you she ain’t what she claims to be.

4) Do her “real life” stories seem too salacious to be true? They probably are.
Pros will try to present themselves in the best possible light. So her “Mistress Manor” may actually be a tiny apartment in a seedy neighborhood. But some fakers take this to a whole different level. If the domme you are observing tells stories of doing things that seem hugely unlikely, given the way ordinary people act…if she even tells tales of activities that would be considered criminal in the real world… chances are she’s making that shit up. Those of us who do this for real put our clothes back on when the pizza guy knocks; we don’t conspire with the clerks at the lingerie store to kidnap & punish lecherous husbands.
There’s other red flags to watch out for; maybe enough for several articles. But paying attention to these few should help you recognize the obvious fakes.
