USA- INGLEWOOD- CA- A fired employee of a bondage parlor has been ordered to trial for the death of the club's owner and dog before torching the building near Los Angeles International Airport.
A Los Angeles judge ruled Wednesday there was enough evidence to try 54-year-old David Edward Albert on charges of first-degree murder with a handgun allegation, arson and animal cruelty. He will be arraigned on April 1.
Detectives testified that the Simi Valley man was angry that he had lost his job, a position that enabled him to socialize with dominatrixes and fulfill a sexual fetish.
The Torrance Daily Breeze says testimony shows Albert attempted to strangle John Lavine, then shot him and splashed him with rubbing alcohol before setting him ablaze. The fire also killed Lavine's dog, Koda.
