St. Louis bondage club loses permit

USA - ST. LOUIS - A bondage club in a converted warehouse in St. Louis has lost its city permit.
The Board of Adjustment made the decision Wednesday after hearing testimony from people living or owning businesses near the Clan of the Barbarian, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Linda Hennigh, president of a neighborhood association, gave the board e-mails and letters urging that the club move or close.
"Had we known that this was not a construction company looking for office space in February of this year, we would have disseminated this information much earlier," she said. "The Clan of the Barbarian has established residence in Benton Park West through lies and manipulation."
The owner, Joe Kriegesmann, attended the hearing, at one point cursing a witness. Kriegesmann later approached the board and said the club had started its move already.
Kriegesmann told the newspaper Thursday morning, however, that the club would stay where it is, although the offices would move.
