Sherlock dominatrix Lara Pulver finds love with her fellow Spook

UK - Her nude appearance before the watershed in the BBC’s hit Sherlock Holmes series caused raised eyebrows as well as more than 100 complaints.
In real life, however, it seems actress Lara Pulver prefers to wait until dark before enjoying more intimate moments.
The 31-year-old was seen sharing a passionate night-time kiss with Spooks star Raza Jaffrey after her debut as flirtatious Yelena in Uncle Vanya at the Minerva Theatre in Chichester, West Sussex.
Miss Pulver and Jaffrey, 36, who were seen outside the theatre walking hand in hand and laughing, have struck up a romance since the collapse of her five-year marriage to U.S. actor Joshua Dallas, 30.
The actress made headlines when she played dominatrix Irene Adler in BBC1 drama Sherlock on New Year’s Day.
The episode, screened at 8.10pm, featured a scene in which her character appeared nude and tried to seduce the sleuth, played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
She and Jaffrey have both featured in hit BBC spy drama Spooks, although not at the same time.
Raza, who is currently based in New York for filming reasons, watched the 31-year-old actress portray Yelena, the glacial wife of an old professor, in the play.
When The Mail on Sunday spoke to the couple, Lara smiled and said: ‘Yes, we are going out and I’m a very happy girl.
'We’ve known each other for three-and-a-half years, but got together just over three months ago. Raza’s very busy promoting his show in London, so we’re just making the most of being in the same city at the same time.’
After Lara’s performance as a dominatrix in Sherlock in January, which saw her appear naked before the 9pm watershed, more than 100 people complained to the BBC.
In one scene, she perched naked on a chair before striking Holmes, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, with a riding crop.
In December, it was revealed that the actress, who played MI5 chief Erin Watts in Spooks, had separated from American actor Joshua Dallas, whom she married in 2007.
Meanwhile, 36-year-old Raza, who played agent Zafar Younis, split from fellow Spooks star Miranda Raison in 2009 after two years of marriage.
A close friend said: ‘Lara and Raza are so happy together. They’ve known each other for years, but they were both with partners so obviously nothing happened.
When they were going through marriage break-ups, it was a case of being a shoulder for the other to cry on.
‘But Raza always had a bit of a crush on Lara. He lives in New York where his new show is made and Lara’s in London, so there’s been lots of to-ing and fro-ing across the Atlantic.
'It’s been tough to keep the long-distance romance going, but they are determined this love story will have a happy ending.’
The romance is just the latest to blossom among stars on the spy drama Spooks, with jokes on-set about a ‘Spooks dating agency’. Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes married after meeting on the show.
