AUSTRALIA - MELBOURNE - stripper and sex worker Johanna ''Jazzy O'' Martin - who was strangled to death - had a rule never to take part in bondage or any kind of auto-eroticism with clients, a court has heard.
A sex worker, who had known Ms Martin for more than 10 years, said she felt it was not safe to allow anyone to tie her up.
Ms Martin's body was found in bushes wrapped in a bloodstained sheet next to a car park in Pickles Street, Port Melbourne, on October 11 last year. An autopsy revealed she had died from ''neck compression'' and forensic pathologist Dr Paul Bedford believed she had been strangled with some sort of ligature.

Steve Constantinou, 49, of Port Melbourne, is charged with murdering Ms Martin, a 65-year-old grandmother, and stealing gold jewellery including chains, rings and bangles from her valued at $33,000.
The sex worker, 57, who cannot be named, told the Melbourne Magistrates Court yesterday Ms Martin had made a lot of money out of the adult entertainment industry and was famous for her extreme strip shows.
''I have been asked if Honie [Ms Martin] would ever participate in sex acts that would require her to be tied up or have rope, cord or any other form of ligature placed around her neck,'' the sex worker said. ''I would say absolutely not.''
Ms Martin told the sex worker how she had walked out on one particularly well-known client who offered a lot of money to tie her up.
''Honie would rarely knock back work, particularly from clients willing to pay large sums, but this is how she felt about that type of act.''
The sex worker said Ms Martin told her she had met a younger Greek man about six months after her husband Arthur had died who had asked her for money and to let him move into her Southbank apartment.
''I told her to be careful with this man and she assured me that everything would be all right.''
Scott Fountain, who had known Ms Martin for 10 years, said she always had to be in control.
''Police have asked me
whether she would be involved in sex games or restraint such as bondage or choking games,'' he said. ''Jazzy was not into these types of things.''
Footscray pawn shop owner Hristo Hristov said Constantinou came into his store about 1.30pm on October 11 last year - the day Ms Martin's body was found - with a ''pot of gold''. Constantinou wanted to sell gold rings, necklaces and bangles he had in a pot claiming they were his mother's. He was paid $2100.
The hearing resumes tomorrow.
