CANADA - UPPER CHELSEA - The civic address where Lunenburg County RCMP say a teenage boy was held against his will and sexually assaulted shows up in records as the home of a company that features bondage websites.
The websites are registered to a Mr. Kato of MDK Media, and the address for MDK Media is 174 Falkner Rd., also known as 174 Faulkner Rd., in Upper Chelsea.
The phone number works, but it belongs to an area resident who said he does not know of such a business.
The free area of the three websites associated with MDK Media show women in various states of bondage, none of them nude, though viewers can buy a subscription to get more content.
The Faulkner Road address was also once the base for MDK Vacuum Services, which no longer exists.
Provincial business records show the vacuum business was owned by Mark Douglas Kenney. According to provincial property records, he owns the house at 174 Faulkner Rd.
Neighbours says Kenney moved away about a month ago to take a job as custodian at North Queens School in Caledonia.
The South Shore regional school board confirmed Kenney works there but spokeswoman Trish Smith said, Mr. Kenney is not working while this matter is being reviewed.
He put his Upper Chelsea house up for sale to move to Maitland Bridge, closer to his work at the school, but was able almost immediately to rent out the house to two men - one older and one younger.
The Chronicle Herald went to Maitland Bridge and spoke with Kenney at his new home - a tidy 1 1/2 storey house with clean white siding. Kenney said late Wednesday afternoon he had no comment.
Sgt. Alain Leblanc, spokesman for the RCMP in Nova Scotia, would not say whether Kenney is under investigation.
This is a very complex investigation, he said, and will take some time to complete.
Meanwhile, police have charged David James Leblanc, 47, and Wayne Alan Cunningham, 31, with forcible confinement and sexual assault of a 16-year-old boy in the Faulkner Road home.
Police are looking for the men and asking people not to approach them directly if they see them.
The RCMP say there is a chance the men are in Lunenburg or Halifax counties.
