USA - FLORENCE, S.C. - A Massachusetts man with ties to Florence was arrested Wednesday following the discovery of a bizarre serious of notes filled with unconventional sexual propositions.
Ekwuqcha Amiche McCall, 41, of 191 Walnut St., Springfield, Mass., was taken into custody about 11 a.m. as the result of an investigation that began with the discovery of a handwritten note on a piece of notebook paper in the lobby/office area of Royall Elementary School.
The note, left out in the open, was basically an advertisement for a dominatrix and was signed Slave. It advertised for a woman who was willing to beat and abuse the writer and also perform other deviant sexual acts and gave a phone number for interested parties to call.
Mr. McCall apparently has a sexual fetish that involves domination and certain types of sexual activity, and he would leave these notes or small letters detailing certain sexual acts he would like done to him at different locations throughout Florence in the hopes of someone being interested and calling him, Florence Police Lt. Tim Compton said.
In this particular case, McCall told police he was dropping his nephew off at school, saw an employee there he was attracted to and left the note in the hope she would find it and call him. School surveillance video captured McCall leaving the note and led to his identification, Compton said.
As investigators were speaking with solicitors about the case, a defense attorney overheard them and said hed read a similar message signed Slave on the Florence Rail Trail.
Investigator (Ashley) Shelley went out to the Rail Trail to look into what the attorney had said and found a similar message graffiti-ed onto the wooden post, Compton said. It was also signed Slave and gave the same phone number.
Police located McCall on Tuesday, but he was back in the Boston area. They asked him to return for questioning about the matter, and he turned himself into officers on Wednesday as requested.
He was very candid and honest when we interviewed him,
Compton said. I can say his intention was not to recruit children or have children read these notes. He left them for consenting adults and in the case at the school, there was one particular lady it was directed toward.
McCall is charged with vandalism and disturbing schools. He remains in custody at the Florence County Detention Center in Effingham.
