Nicole Kidman transforms a fashion dominatrix in Cannes

FRANCE - CANNES - Nicole Kidman has been known for her more sedate fashion recently but Calvin Klein made sure to change that on Thursday night.
The star stepped out on the designer's black carpet in Cannes, France, and immediately had all eyes on her thanks to an all leather look from his latest collection.
Celebrities filled the sought after party showcasing the veteran designer's styles but none could outshine Nicole.
For the long titled IFP, Calvin Klein Collection, and Europhia Calvin Klein Celebration Of Women In Film the 45-year-old looked like a fashionable cross between Batman and a dominatrix.
The Paper Boy actress' sleeveless leather gown featured unusual paneled sections that formed a corset look at the top.
The dress then flared from the waist - which was accentuated with a large matching belt - and flowed out to just above the ankle in a lattice work pattern that played a eye catching game of peek-a-boo showing off Nicole's legs.
With her dress making such a statement, The Others star made sure to keep the rest of her look simple.
The mother of four wore her strawberry blonde hair poker straight and swept behind one ear revealing her dangling gold Fred Leighton earrings.
The star kept her make-up simple too, wearing a pink shade on her lip and a light orange hue on her cheeks. Nicole also went for minimal eye make up preferring instead to make the focus her brows which were perfectly shaped and darkened.
Despite the event being a Calvin Klein affair - Nicole even made sure to pose up with Francisco Costa, Women's creative cirector of the label, whom she towered over - the star did sneak a little bit of Jimmy Choo in.
The actress wore a pair of Jimmy Choos as after all, the luxury shoe label made famous by Sex And The City is the Days of Thunder star's newest employer.
Nicole was announced as the new brand ambassador of the handmade shoe range on Wednesday and will star in fashion editorials for the label.
Unusually, Nicole has often been described as a fashion icon while being lambasted for her lack of style at the same time.
However, the newest creative director of the high price show label, Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo's niece, is confident that Nicole is everything a Jimmy Choo shoe symbolises.
In a statement about the appointment, Sandra said: 'Nicole is one of the finest actresses in the world, who I knew could convey the empowered glamour of the brand.
'But she is also nuanced and refined, she brings an attitude of defiance, strength, sensuality and elegance.'
However the Cannes Film Festival event was not just Nicole's show - even if she did steal it.
Also looking amazing was James Bond girl Naomie Harris. The 36-year-old was a vision in white.
Also wearing Calvin Klein Collection, Naomie flashed her slender shape - and ribs - in a cut out white gown that was both highly structured but appeared to flow at the same time.
Also winning points on the fashion front was Carey Mulligan, who wore a re-imagining of the classic Calvin Klein strapless tube dress.
Another actress managing to turn heads was Rooney Mara.
The actress showed off her slender frame in a barely there nude spaghetti strapped gown.
As the face of the label, The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo no doubt had the pick of all the outfits - unlike Nicole and Naomie bright colours seemed to be a crowd favourite - but chose a far more sedate but still striking dress.
