Hollywood gets down and dirty with a spate of kinky new films.

USA - HOLLYWOOD - MOVIES about bondage. Movies featuring hard-core gay sex. Movies with spanking, leather, gang-bangs. And those are just the films that James Franco has been involved with recently!
Hollywood is definitely having a porno moment.
What was once confined to California’s San Fernando Valley - where most X-rated action is produced - has now crept a few miles down the road to mainstream Tinseltown.
This summer’s biopic of the famous ’70s porn star “Lovelace” starred Amanda Seyfried, an actor who once innocently sung her way through “Mamma Mia!”
Franco turned up in that film as a young Hugh Hefner, and he clearly has sex on the brain these days. He produced the documentary “Kink,” which premiered at January’s Sundance, about San Francisco-based S&M Web site kink.com.
He also co-directed and stars in “Interior. Leather Bar.,” an art film that re-creates a supposedly lost, explicit gay-orgy scene from the 1980 Al Pacino film “Cruising.”
Lindsay Lohan’s “The Canyons” has so much nudity and such a grimy, lo-fi feel, it may as well have been a skin flick. Her co-star was James Deen, whose day job is - you guessed it.
One explanation for the crossover is that pornography has become more aboveground in recent years, with personalities like Kim Kardashian getting famous for their sex tapes.
As Adam Brody, who plays Harry Reems in “Lovelace,” told Cosmopolitan, “Nowadays you’ve got celebrities who essentially start out as porn stars. It might be with their boyfriends, but that’s essentially their big break. There isn’t that stigma.”
Even Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh didn’t think twice about casting porn star Sasha Grey in “The Girlfriend Experience.” Grey - fully clothed, presumably - is now working on an Elijah Wood thriller called “Open Windows.”
Adult-oriented themes no longer send actors fleeing for tamer scripts, despite lip service about “pushing themselves.”
“This is the riskiest thing that’s happening in Hollywood right now,” Seyfried told The Sunday Times of “Lovelace.”
“The first thing you think about is that it could ruin my career.”
Behind the Candelabra, a biopic about Liberace's career and the affair he had with his much younger gay lover pulls no punches in depicting graphic gay sex scenes.
The film was a big hit at the Cannes Film Festival, where critics predicted it would be an even bigger hit with the general public.
Fifty Shades of Grey is also one of the most highly anticipated film releases, with a cast yet to be named for the "mommy porn" film based on E. L James' erotic novels.
