USA - PARK FOREST - A Park Forest woman claimed she only wanted a "slave" to take pictures of her as she did some naked housekeeping but instead was surprised by a dominatrix who put the moves on her and then dragged her by the hair out of bed, ostensibly to rape her.
As compelling as 46-year-old Kimberly Williams' testimony was at times during her trial for aggravated battery, Will County Judge Edward Burmila wasn't buying it-at least not enough to find her innocent.
Williams was convicted on both felony counts. Burmila tossed out a charge of misdemeanor battery that alleged Williams bit New Lenox dominatrix Theresa Washington. Williams admitted to biting Washington but Burmila said "it was unclear if the biting was part of the activities" the two women may have willingly engaged in.
Williams took the stand in her own defense Wednesday. She and her brother, Christopher Williams, were the only defense witnesses called.
Williams told of finding Washington on the website
collarme.com. (NSFW) and corresponding with her about having her take some racy naked photographs. She explained that she is in a "committed relationship" with a man in Vietnam who she said "wanted to see me in my home environment." This apparently entailed cleaning her trailer without clothes on.
Williams and Washington rendezvoused at a Tinley Park TGI Fridays in January 2013. Williams recalled how they ate a couple appetizers and drank about four or five glasses of wine each.
The women then headed back to Williams' trailer after first stopping at a liquor store to buy two large bottles of wine-"They're more economical," Williams said-and spent the rest of the night drinking them.
Williams said she changed out of her work clothes in front of Washington since she felt comfortable around her, but soon took a different view of her new friend.
"As the night progressed and she got more intoxicated, she got a little more loose with the things she said," Williams testified, telling how Washington suddenly confided she was a dominatrix.
"It really shocked me," said Williams, as Washington had made herself out to be a "slave, which is an absolutely submissive person."
Williams said she happens to be a "slave" herself, and noted that her guy pal over in Vietnam is her "master."
Williams said she made a phone call to a friend and Washington dialed someone she met on the dating site
Christian Mingle. ("Find God's match for you"), and then Washington put the moves on her.
"She started to come on to me at that point and the more wine she drank the more she made advances," said Williams, telling how she put her foot down and let Washington know she would have to leave if she kept it up.
Washington did indeed keep it up and Williams ordered her out, she said, but then decided the woman she met that afternoon was too drunk to drive away so instead made up a bed for her on the couch.
Williams said she turned in to, and climbed in bed with her two dogs. She woke a short time later to Washington dragging her out of bed by her hair, she said.
"I was afraid for my life," Williams said. "I was afraid she was going to rape me."
Williams said Washington pulled her by the hair through the trailer and when she finally bit herself free, Washington pushed her around to the point the two of them went crashing through a kitchen table. Williams said she was then able to make it to the softball bat she keeps by her front door and used it to club Washington "several times."
Williams said she beat Washington out of the trailer and down the steps from her door.
"On her bottom, she slipped down the stairs," she said.
But Washington rose up again as if she was going to renew her attack, "So I hit her one or two more times," Williams said.
Will County Deputy Kevin Spencer previously testified he found Washington
lying in the grass, "
afraid and hysterical," a short time later. Washington suffered a broken forearm in the scuffle.
Williams faces up to five years in prison when she is sentenced in July. She declined to comment after she was found guilty.
